Our wedding insurance cover does not cover cancellation or rearrangement due to any claim resulting from issues regarding travel bans, flight cancellations or government acts, regulations or bans on public gatherings.
BUT, under our wedding insurance cover, cancellation WILL cover:
1. The venue booked for the wedding or wedding reception being unable to hold your wedding due to an outbreak of infectious or contagious disease (which could include Coronavirus), damage to the venue, murder or suicide at the premises or closure of the venue by the relevant authority.
2. The death, injury or sickness or you or your close relative which would make it inappropriate to continue the wedding.
Insuring your wedding day means protecting yourself against the risks that come from organising such a large event. If your suppliers, venue, caterers or more fail to provide you with what they have promised, you could be left out of pocket without insurance.
The earliest you can take out your policy is two years before your wedding date. Generally, it is a good idea to know how much you are planning to spend before buying your policy. Be aware that some venues also require you to show proof of wedding insurance before you can book.
